Is "tweezerlike" a simile in this sentence?

In this sentence, "He felt the man's tweezerlike eyes close in on him." Is "tweezerlike" a simile or a metaphor? We just had a test with this question on it, and I put metaphor, because a simile is something such as "As blind as a bat..." Please help! Thanks!
